Lover Come Back- City and Colour

I am LOVING this song right now! We listen to it all the time in the car, and in fact, we are going to see City and Colour this summer! It is almost like a sneak preview to the Jazz Fest :)

Never Be Like You - Flume ft. Kai

Ayee so this song played consistently down under when we were there, because it was up on the Aussie charts. It is quite a catchy song, and it seems like it could be another good road trip song!

Kia Ora :-)

Hey guys, i am back from my incredible journey down under, and it was the most amazing 17 days of my life. I made friends with ten people that I will never forget. So, I will just spam my page with a few photos now, and I hope you enjoy. Kia Ora :)

To start off, here I am with a koala in Kuranda, outside of Cairns!

This is Julie and I in Auckland, our first day, after our 14 hour flight over the ocean

Hyde Park in Sydney

Julie and I up in the Sydney Tower, with the infamous Sydney Harbour in the background

The Sydney Harbour Bridge at night! I took this photo while on an incredible 'party barge' our last night in Sydney

Julie and I our first (rainy) day in Sydney in front of the Harbour Bridge!

After the 'party barge' with my friend Nyk... we thought we would take some sweet azz aesthetic pics during our walk back in Sydney at night :)

Lastly, my favourite picture I took on the plane right after we took off from Brisbane and made our way to Cairns :)

Under Pressure - Queen and David Bowie/3 DAYS TO THE LAND DOWN UNDER

Morning everyone! Today, I am going back to 1982 (even though this song lives forever ahaha), and I am recommending Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie (rest in piece Freddie and Starman<3). This song does live forever as I mentioned before, and you should check out the a capella version featuring just the vocals of both of my rock and roll heroes... it is very cool. Since classic rock is a very large genre of incredible music (most of my favourites as well), I also suggest listening to any playlist featuring bigtime classic rock songs, such as Queen, David Bowie, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, etc, etc...
3 DAYS TO AUSTRALIA. Wow, after a year and a half of fundraising, planning, scheduling, packing, it has finally come, and I can not possibly express how happy I feel to be leaving so soon! Free WiFI is apparently very rare down under, so I will try my best to upload some pictures of the beautiful countries while I am gone. If not, I apologize in advance for the spam of pictures that might come up... as well as lots of penny boarding, surfing, and incredible adventures! :)

Swings and Waterslides - Viola Beach/Update/ONE WEEK TO AUSSIELAND!!

Goooood morning on this fine, warm-ish Thursday! This week's song is by a fabulous British indie band called Viola Beach... if you might have heard about a month ago, the band, plus their manager, passed away in a car crash in Sweden :(... it makes me upset because I looked them up and realized that they had incredible talent, and songs that make me want to go on a long road trip across Canada in a convertible or something. I'm sort of sad that I did not listen to their music before they passed away, but I am happy that I found out about them! They're very fun to listen to :P. More recommendations for this week, since I am feeling very happy, listen to any John Mayer song, but "Half of my Heart" is a specific song that should be on repeat for the rest of your life! And of course listen to Zayn Malik's new song "Pillowtalk" if you haven't already. It is surprisingly catchy, and I listen to it all the time!
Finally, my waiting time has nearly come to an end, to board my 12-ish hour flight to Auckland, New Zealand! I will be spending quite a bit of the next month of my life in the gorgeous south-eastern hemisphere, that I will definitely share some photos of my adventure down under!

Have an incredible week everyone :)

Both Sides Are Even - The Boxer Rebellion/Update

This song has been repeating on my iPod for the last week! It is definitely worth the listen, especially since if you listen to the recording of the song, it sounds exactly the same as this live session... Just goes to show how talented this band is! (Not to mention how in love I am with Nathan Nicholson's voice <3)
Also very interesting recommendations... Go into your bedroom on a cloudy day, and download The 1975's new album, i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it... It includes fun melodies to dance to along with Matty Healy's stunning accented vocals! Perfect for any day! And then you can also listen to it with your eyes closed, when songs like "She Lays Down", comes on, because it is just too beautiful to not concentrate on... Even better, pull out your record player, and order up this album on vinyl, so you get the true coffee house feel that The 1975 initially attempted to portray. You will not regret it one bit! And while your at it, you might as well order up their last album, The 1975 on vinyl as well, because it is equally as gorgeous.
One more honourable mention is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' brand new album entitled, This Unruly Mess I've Made. Like their last album, The Heist, they share very fun dance songs, but then they get serious two tracks later, and get very important points across that we need to consider in our lives today. This album would be perfect to jam out to in your car on a long road trip, with the bass boosted as loud as it would go. After all, who doesn't want good Indie music in their lives??
Go ahead and find these songs and albums ASAP,, Enjoy the rest of the week everyone :)
